Work starts on next phase of the Gateford Park development

Construction work has started on the next stage of the Gateford Park development north of Worksop.

Work has commenced on phase four of the 171 home Gateford Park development, off Churchill Way in Gateford, where more than 80 homes have been completed within the first three phases of construction.

The new phase of the scheme will bring four new house types to the development: the three-bedroom semi-detached Baycliffe and Birch; and the four-bedroom detached Bentley and Barbridge.

Jones Homes is providing funding of £577,000 for local services and infrastructure through the Community Infrastructure Levy.

Jayne Swift, Sales and Marketing Director for Jones Homes Yorkshire, said: “The latest phase of construction work at Gateford Park provides an excellent opportunity for house-hunters to secure a high-quality new-build house in an attractive and convenient location on the edge of Worksop.

“A flourishing community is already forming at Gateford Park, with almost 70 homes now occupied. The development offers buyers the best of both worlds, combining a peaceful location next to open countryside just two miles from the town centre with good connections to the M1 and A1.”

First-time buyers at Gateford Park have the opportunity to secure the three-bedroom semi-detached Baycliffe with just a five per cent deposit with the Government’s Help to Buy initiative.

The scheme enables first-time buyers to purchase a new-build home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided in the form of an equity loan from the Government, which is interest free for the first five years of homeownership.

First-time buyers in the East Midlands can use Help to Buy on homes priced up to £261,900.

Priced at £229,995, the three-bedroom Baycliffe at Gateford Park falls under this regional price cap.

Jayne said: “The Government-backed initiative allows first-time buyers to purchase the spacious semi-detached Baycliffe with a smaller deposit and mortgage.

“Featuring an open-plan kitchen and dining area, along with a separate lounge, the Baycliffe is a great option for house-hunters seeking more space at an attainable price.”

There is currently a mix of three, and four-bedroom homes for sale at Gateford Park, with prices starting from £229,995. For more information, call 01909 570063 or contact the team at Gateford Park.
