Developing land opportunities

From its small beginnings, Jones Homes has expanded steadily over the years and is now recognised as one of the UK’s foremost private family-owned property companies, building more than 600 homes a year.

Jones Homes has maintained a strong regional perspective, with a focus on delivering high-quality new homes across the North West, Lancashire, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and the South East of England.

From luxury apartments and the most pleasant mews developments to flexible family townhouses and executive detached homes, Jones Homes offers UK homebuyers an extensive selection of properties to choose from.

To continue our growth, we need to find land suitable for residential development in locations where people aspire to live.

What’s involved in the land journey?

The considerable work involved in obtaining planning permission is diverse and intensive.

We understand that the inconsistencies and red tape involved with gaining planning permission can be daunting.

We are heavily involved in developing land strategies with local councils which gives us a valuable insight and understanding of what is involved and expected throughout the process from start to finish.

Most importantly for you, we can realise the true potential of your land and maximise its value.

How we value your land

We calculate your land value using the industry-standard Residual Valuation method. This method begins with calculating the projected revenue which the completed development will generate. From this figure, build costs, site specific costs and the developers’ profit margin are all subtracted. The ‘residual’ amount (the figure which is left) is what the land is worth.
