Second purchase with Jones Homes proves the perfect sequel for film-loving couple

Second purchase with Jones Homes proves the perfect sequel for film-loving couple

Jones Homes was top of the bill when film fanatics Lucy Barber and Chris Chiswick were deciding where to buy a new house.

The couple were living in a three-bedroom semi-detached house at the housebuilder’s Arundel Park development in Treeton but were keen to move to a bigger place.

And because they were so impressed by the quality of the home at Arundel Park, which Lucy bought a decade ago, they had no hesitation in buying from Jones Homes for a second time at the  neighbouring Beaumont Grange site in the village.

Lucy, 36, and Chris, 49, reserved their perfect plot – a four-bedroom detached Banbury house – using Jones Homes’ Early Bird scheme.

After picking up the keys to their new home, the couple wasted no time in putting their own unique stamp on the property, with an eye-catching interior design theme inspired by some of their favourite movies.

Lucy, who works for the family business as a general manager, bought her first home at Arundel Park 10 years ago. She met Chris, a leakage technician, in 2018 and after being together for a few years they decided it was time to buy a new home together.

Lucy said: “Since purchasing my first home I have become really fond of the area. I found out about Beaumont Grange a few years after being with Chris and we decided this would be a great place to share a home.

“We went to the sales office and looked at the site plan. We were instantly drawn to the homes at the back of the development that overlooked the woods and knew that was the place for us.

“The house type we wanted was not available in the first phase of homes so we waited until the next phase for that home to be released. We were able to reserve the home as soon as it was available using the Early Bird scheme offered by Jones Homes.

“We went with the Early Bird scheme as we knew exactly what plot we wanted and it ensured that we were able to get it as soon as it was released.”

The couple kept in touch with Philippa, the sales advisor at Beaumont Grange, while construction work progressed on the house and they moved into their new home, along with their sphynx cats Marilyn and Manson, once it was completed.

Lucy said: “We could not be happier. Both moving experiences I have had with Jones Homes have been amazing. Having now moved in, everything is exactly as we imagined it would be for the past few years.

“I originally moved to Arundel Park because each home is different on the outside, making them unique. It is also clear that quality and care has gone into every home, which is why I was so happy to be able to move into another Jones Homes development.”

The couple’s new home features an interior design theme which is heavily influenced by their love of films. One of the spare bedrooms has been transformed into a cinema room with a projector and surround sound system so they can watch their favourite movies on a big screen, while the garage resembles a 1980s video shop complete with movie posters and a whole host of other merchandise.

Lucy and Chris are full of praise for the customer service they received throughout the house buying process.

Lucy said: “Jones Homes supported us so much during the journey, keeping in contact with us during the build, informing us of the Early Bird scheme and checking in on us after moving in.

“I could not recommend them enough, which is why we bought a second home with them.”

Jones Homes is building 94 new homes at Beaumont Grange, off Wood Lane, including a mix of three, four and five-bedroom houses.
