Jones Homes helps crown Wilmslow’s coronation celebrations

Staff from Jones Homes helped fly the flag for Wilmslow at the town’s coronation celebrations at the weekend.

The housebuilder’s New Homes Information Centre on Grove Street was open for the festivities on Sunday (7 May), with goodie bags including flags and paper crowns handed out to children and traditional refreshments such as cupcakes and biscuits were also served.

The celebrations, held the day after the coronation of King Charles III, took place in Bank Square, Grove Street, Green Lane and Hawthorn Lane, with roads closed to provide a safe space for families and friends to enjoy music, entertainment, family activities, picnic areas and stalls.

Sales director for Jones Homes North West, Simon Whalley, said: “It was wonderful to see people in Wilmslow come together to enjoy this special occasion.

“As a locally based business which has been supporting the local community for the past 63 years – and with our New Homes Information Centre located right in the heart of the town’s festivities for the coronation – we were ideally placed to help people enjoy the day.

“The children loved wearing their crowns and waving their flags and really added to the celebratory atmosphere.”
