A four-bedroom family house with a study and detached garage is among the final few properties still available at our popular development in Mawdesley.

The final three Bayswater homes are available to purchase at St Peter’s Park, an exclusive collection of four and five-bedroom detached properties being built by Jones Homes off Gorsey Lane.

One of the Bayswater houses is ready to move into, meaning buyers will be able to complete their purchase before the end of the Government’s stamp duty holiday.

Announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak last July, the stamp duty holiday temporarily raised the threshold at which the tax is paid on a property from £125,000 (or £300,000 for first-time buyers) to £500,000. It was originally due to end on 31 March but has now been extended to 30 June.

Carol Barlow, Sales Director at Jones Homes Lancashire, said: “St Peter’s Park has proved to be an extremely popular development, and the Bayswater has been among the most sought-after house types at the site.

“With an open-plan kitchen, dining and family room, utility room, separate study and living room, it offers plenty of space for families while catering for the needs of home-workers.

“Demand has been consistently strong throughout at St Peter’s Park, but we have noticed a spike in enquiries following the Chancellor’s announcements on the stamp duty holiday, both last July when it was introduced, and more recently when it was extended.

“The stamp duty holiday offers an opportunity to save thousands of pounds on the purchase of a home, but with just a limited number of properties still available at St Peter’s Park, buyers will need to act quickly if they are to take advantage of the extension.”

Jones Homes offers an Agency Assist scheme to help customers secure a quick sale of their existing property. The housebuilder will hold the buyer’s chosen plot for at least eight weeks while liaising with an estate agent to progress the sale, as well as paying up to £3,000 towards estate agent fees.

The Bayswater is priced from £433,495. A selection of other four-bedroom detached houses are also available and ready to move into, including the Banbury, starting at £397,995 and the Hollin B, priced from £411,995.
